P-Tech Advisors History
In 2008 Michael Petix, P-Tech Management – Member, formed P-Tech Advisors, a merchant banking and advisory firm, focused on helping middle market private equity firms, companies and financial institutions through:
- Business development – retained by BlackEagle (building products), Wynnchurch (loan to own)
- Targeted buy-side searches
- ExecuCentered platform projects – machine shops, injection molding
- Portfolio add-ons – PNC Equity (waste water services, beverage distribution)
- Grass roots research, marketing and deal origination – solar, distressed CRE, storage
- Executive led strategic / operational management consulting
- Sell-side investment banking focused on corp divestitures of non-strategic assets
- Fundless sponsor and PE, investing in >$3MM CRE, LP in Alvares & Marsal Capital Funds, Direct Investments: Jackson Flexible Products, Martin-Yale Print Finishing
- Capital-raising, debt advisory
- Loan negotiation, underwriting, work-out initiatives and

In 2010 Petix joined Citizens Bank Asset-Based Lending as a full time employee as Senior Vice President to manage new business development for the Midwest, halting new non-bank advisory activity and renewing securities licenses (79, 63) with Citizens Capital Markets broker dealer
P-Tech Corporate Finance Credentials
P-Tech founder, Michael Petix has a unique blend of capital markets, corporate finance, sales and financial underwriting skills.
He has spent his career finding, closing and managing debt and equity investments for restructurings, buy-outs and general corporate purposes. In 2008 he founded P-Tech Advisors, a firm focused on helping companies and private equity identify and close transactions and raise capital.
From 1999 to 2008 Petix ran bank and investment banking offices for Bank of America, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and The CIT Group in the Detroit area and led national practices focused on working with automotive suppliers and industrial companies.
Since the early 1990’s, he has worked in new loan origination, underwriting, workout, portfolio management, due diligence audit management, investment banking and internal audit.
Petix has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern, a BSBA from Central Michigan University and is a CPA. Mike is a member of the Commercial Finance Association, the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth.
